The screwdriver (1) protects a screw, bolt or similar against torque overload during fastening and comprises a shank part (2) for exacting torque, a part (3) for engaging a screw, the two parts being connected by an intermediate part (4) which will break when a predefined torque is present between the shank part and the engagement part.
