The connection block includes a contact-carrying module (16) which is designed for installation alongside others between the longitudinal walls (18) of a rectangular frame (14). It comprises a connection box (20) and a plate (22) which retains each contact firmly between a shoulder of a passage through the plate and a stud of a resilient tongue whose deformation is prevented by the box when the plate is fully inserted. The plate is immobilised in a defined position by elastic arms (24) on the outside of the box which are clipped over the walls of the frame, and by elastic tabs (26) on the inside which engage longitudinal internal shoulders on it.
