The cover is for a turnable transmission case with ventilation bore (17), rotating in a ring chamber. The cover consists of a labyrinth carrier and a lid. The outer atmosphere is connected to the ring chamber via the ventilation bore, a central chamber (22), spiral labyrinth paths (18-21), and air compensation bores (13-16). The ventilation bore is located in the labyrinth carrier centrally in the extension of the rotary axis of the drive shaft.
