A signalling device for a car has one or more light sources(12) located on the outside car mirror (10), connected to the usual signalling system of the car. The light sources are placed in the mirror housing, this housing being at least partly transparent. It is made of polymeric material and the light is emitted at least through a section of the periphery and at the back. The housing has one or more warning colours either singly or in defined zones.
