The mill container (13) comprises a solid cylindrical wall (21), a cover (14) and a base (22), enclosing a grinding space (23) filled with grinding balls (34), pellets etc.. The agitator (24) has grinding tools (26) mounted on the free end of the agitator shaft (25) within the grinding space. The agitator is rotated around an axis (29) off a drive and a feed entry (30) issues alongside the container cover. The base houses a separator (45) adjoining the product offtake line. The base and container are releasably connected to each other, using a hinge assembly to allow the base to swing away from the container as opposed to when releasably connected to the container by a device. The base has a cover-type end section and an annular section (37) to house the separator between end cover and container. The cover and annular section are separately connected to the container by joints.
