A model, at least in outline shape, of a flower, fruit or vegetable, is made from an absorbent porous synthetic or natural material which is impregnated with a substance, such as an extract, which smells of the object in question. The material from which the model is made can be for example a sequenced polyetheramide such as 'Pebax' (RTM), a natural stone of volcanic origin or maize cobs.
