METHOD OF NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF PIPE-LINES

FIELD: gas and coil production and transportation, nondestructive testing inspection of pipe-lines during their testing and operation. SUBSTANCE: converters mounted on piston member located in fluid medium in pipe-line emit forward signal, receive and record signals reflected from internal and external surfaces of pipe-line and from surfaces of flaws formed in pipe-line. Signals are emitted and received twice, first time for pressure of fluid medium ahead of piston and second time for pressure of fluid medium after piston. Presence of flaws and their parameters are found by difference of signals. EFFECT: improved authenticity of method. 1 cl, 1 dwg5
