SUBSTANCE: material has cutting layer including, vol.%: cubic boron nitride BN<SB>jph</SB>, 30-50; nitrides and borides of titanium and aluminum TiN, TiB<SB>2</SB>, AlN, AlB<SB>12</SB>, 20-55; copper and a series of intermetallic compounds, 15-30; they are the following: copper and titanium CuTi<SB>3</SB>, CuTi<SB>2</SB>, CuTi; copper and aluminum Cu<SB>9</SB>Al<SB>4</SB>, Cu<SB>3</SB>Al<SB>2</SB>, CuAl; titanium and aluminum TiAl, TiAl<SB>3</SB>; copper, titanium and aluminum CuAl<SB>4</SB>Ti<SB>8</SB>, Cu<SB>4</SB>Al<SB>71</SB>Ti<SB>25</SB> and heat-exchange layer of hard alloy of composition Ti<SB>5</SB>K<SB>6</SB>, and cutting layer amounts to 50-85 vol. % and heat-exchange layer, to 501-5 vol.%.
