PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently fix an arsenic in ash and to treat for safety disposal by adding a bivalent iron compd. and water to an arsenic-containing ash and kneading the mixture. SOLUTION: A ferrous compd. (0.1-10 pts.wt.) as an anhydride or hydride of a bivalent iron salt such as ferrous chloride, ferrous bromide, ferrous sulfate, ammonium ferrous sulfate, iron fumarate, iron lactate, iron oxalate, ferrous perchlorate and sodium ferrous citrate and 5-50 pts.wt. water are added to 100 pts.wt. arsenic-containing ash, and the mixture is kneaded by using a biaxial paddle system or a force-agitating pan type mixer system, etc. In this way, the arsenic in the arsenic-containing ash is efficiently and conveniently fixed without eluting and the ash disposal is executed by a safe and convenient treating method even if other assistant is used. |
