PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve bending strength of a transmission case without deteriorating loading performance. SOLUTION: A transmission 10 is provided with a housing 12 for housing a torque converter, a transmission case 14 for housing an oil pump and a transmission mechanism, and an oil pan 18. An attaching surface is formed on the side of the oil pan 18 facing the housing 12. The sizes of the attaching parts of the upper half parts on the car body floor side of the housing 112 and the transmission case 14 are a little larger than the conventional one, while, the attaching surface of the lower half body of the housing 12 separated from the car body floor side is so formed as to project to the attaching surface of the oil pan 18 in the outer peripheral direction, and the housing 12, the transmission case 14, and the oil pan 18 are integrally connected to one another by two counterpart members and connecting bolts 20, 21.
