PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject growth promoter having promoting effects on plant bioactivation, capable of promoting rooting and germination, improving bioactivation degree of subterranean part, increasing a yield and suppressing the occurrence of disease and pest, by including a solution extracted from bamboo grass of the genus Sasa of the family bamboo. SOLUTION: This growth promoter contains an extract from bamboo grass of the genus Sasa of the family bamboo. The extract is obtained by optionally subjecting the whole plant including leaves and stems of bamboo grass to pretreatment such as drying and grinding and carrying out physical, biological or chemical extraction such as water extraction, hot water extraction, solvent extraction, enzyme treating extraction or alkali extraction. The growth promoter can be used in any stage in plant growth such as germination period, raising of seedling period or harvesting stage. The growth promoter can be added to irrigation water or soaking water and is usable as foliar spray. |
