PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrist watch where a thermoelectric generator is made to serve as an energy source, by a method wherein the thermoelectric generator whose main component element is a π-type thermoelectric conversion element is improved in heat inflow rate and enhanced in shock resistance. SOLUTION: A thermoelectric generator is equipped with a heat absorbing board 401, a heat dissipating board 601, and a π-type thermoelectric conversion element 502, wherein a thixotropic material 605 high in thermal conductivity is pinched between the board of the π-type thermoelectric conversion element 502 and the heat dissipating board 601. Furthermore, the thermoelectric conversion element 502 and the thixotropic material 605 are sealed up with the heat dissipating board 601 and reinforcing frames 503 provided around the thermoelectric conversion element 502 so as to improve the thermoelectric generator in mechanical strength. Moreover, gas emitted from the thixotropic material 605 in the thermoelectric generator is prevented from penetrating into a wrist watch. |
