PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic mail transfer method for informing of many pieces of information by setting the information of an electronic mail as inter- user information or pre-information of communication in an ISDN public network and an analog public network. SOLUTION: In an electronic mail transfer method, an electronic mail arrived via a computer communication network is transferred to a destination terminal of the electronic mail by using an ISDN line. Then, in a main transfer device, the incoming information of the electronic mail containing a number and a character and the content of the electronic mail are set (S1) as inter-user information of the ISDN and they are sent to a display terminal through an ISDN public network. Then, they are displayed on the display terminal (S2). Namely, the incoming information (the arriving number of mails, a transmitter, a subject name, etc.,) and the content of the mail are set in the inter-user information notice of the ISDN and the pre-information notice of communication and therefore account can be made up by an accounting system different from a conventional call rate.
