PURPOSE: A shadow mask is provided to enhance a strength of a shadow mask by forming a multitude of beading portion on a non-opening portion. CONSTITUTION: A shadow mask comprises an opening portion(31), a non-opening portion(32), and a skirt portion(33). The opening portion(31) is formed with a multitude of electron beam penetrating hole. The non-opening portion(32) is extended along an edge of the opening portion(31). The skirt portion(33) is bent from an edge of the non-opening portion(32) to a vertical direction. The skirt portion(33) is fixed to a frame. A multitude of beading portion(34) is formed on the non-opening portion(32). The beading portion(34) has a groove having the shape of V.
