PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check a reconfiguration area in advance during X-ray CT imaging. SOLUTION: This X-ray CT apparatus has an arrangement such that a reconfiguration area Pa for use in X-ray CT imaging is superimposed on a fluoroscopic image obtained by irradiation of a cone-shaped X-ray beam from a certain direction around a subject M and is projected for display on the screen of a display monitor 7 prior to X-ray CT imaging in which image reconfiguration is effected based on transmitted X-ray detection data outputted from a flat panel type X-ray sensor by irradiation of a cone-shaped X-ray beam from the ambient of the subject M. Prior to execution of X-ray CT imaging, an operator can check on the screen of the display monitor 7 whether or not the area Ma of concern of the subject of photography fits within the reconfiguration area Pa, and can therefore surely obtain an X-ray CT image of the desired cross section.
