PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball valve most suitable for an auxiliary vale and a repair valve limited in height and capable of increasing an opening diameter against the height. SOLUTION: A valve seat 30 is provided on an inner peripheral part of one opening 23 of a pair of the openings 21, 23 provided on a valve chest 20, a closing part 11 to close the opening 23 by making contact with the valve seat 30 and an opening part 12 having a diameter in correspondence with the opening 23 are provided on a valve body 10 formed in a semi-spherical shape, and an outer surface 11a of the closing part 11 is formed in a flat shape.
