PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device capable of realizing a decalcomania to meet the requirements for image formation accurately coping with a small lot, multi-product production, rapid production, and customer needs. SOLUTION: An on-demand print means having a single or a plurality of print heads 4 for forming an image layer on one surface of a base film 2 by an on-demand system print means 1 and a transfer means 9 for placing the base film having the image layer formed thereon by the on-demand print means on the surface of the transferred object 10, heating and pressing the base film by a heating body from the surface side opposite to the surface having the image layer formed thereon, and separating the base film after the image layer is transferred onto the surface of the transferred object are disposed in a route for continuously feeding the base film 2 from a base film outfeed means 12 to a base film recovery means 13.
