PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gusset bag which does not cause a pin hole or breakage on a border at a bag bottom and whose manufacturing cost is not raised, and to provide its use. SOLUTION: The bag is obtained by folding both side ends of a tube comprising a thermoplastic synthetic resin film like gussets to form gusset portions and forming a bottom seal by thermally fusion-bonding the gusset portions at a bottom seal line in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the tube. The gusset bag is heat-sealed in spots at a border between a part where four thermoplastic synthetic resin films are overlaid and thermally welded on the bottom seal line and a part where the two films are overlaid and thermally welded.
