PURPOSE: A power supply unit of a monitor is provided to supply power to a microcomputer in a power save mode by using a reactor which is comprised of a pair of inductors without an additional circuit. CONSTITUTION: A reactor(140) induces voltage at a secondary inductor in proportion to a turn-ratio of secondary coil in response to voltage applied to a primary inductor. A switching part(120) switches the voltage induced at the secondary inductor of the reactor(140). A switching part(150) operates in response to an input signal and switches a transformer(180). A driving part(130) applies a certain signal to the switching part(150) in order to operate it. A microcomputer(100) outputs a control signal so that the voltage corresponding to a normal operation mode or the power save mode can be inputted. A switching circuit part(110) switches a signal for operating the switching part(120) and the driving part(130) so that the voltage corresponding to the normal operation mode or the power save mode can be applied to the microcomputer(100).
