A low profile secondary seal (40) has a tube positioned above a primary seal (24) that utilizes a show plate (20). The tube (40) is connected to the floating roof (12). A tip seal (30) adjacent the shell (14) of the tank is connected to the shoe plate by a spacer (42). In use, the tube bears on the spacer with sufficient force to maintain the tip seal in sealing engagement against the shell of the tank. |
