<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array antenna controller that has a simple constitution, as compared with the conventional controller and executes adapting processing, by receiving DS-CDMA signals in a multiple-path environment and forming a narrower beam. SOLUTION: This array antenna controller controls the conventional ESPAR antenna and the radio signals received by means of this controller are spread spectrum-modulated radio signals. A beam pattern controller 8 sets the directional characteristic of the ESPAR antenna by computing the reactance value signal, corresponding to an inputted desired set beam pattern based on the beam pattern and outputting the calculated signal to each variable reactance element. A time-domain signal processing section 4 divides a received radio signal into sub-signals in a plurality of time domains, adds the sub-signals to each other, after the signals are respectively multiplied by prescribed weighting factors, and outputs the added signals as processed signals. An adaptable controller 7 executes adaptable control, by calculating the weighting factors so that the errors between the processed signals and a learning sequence signal becomes minimal.</p> |
