PURPOSE: To maintain proper space by externally welding steel plates to four steel frames forming the column of a building, laying reinforcing members at the prescribed intervals along a vertical direction for firmly supporting the steel frames, and using the internal space of the column as an air supply duct as well as an air circulation duct. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of columns 48 of a body building are erected at the four corners thereof as well as approximately at the centers of four sides thereof. In this case, steel plates 48B are externally welded to four steel frames erected at the four corners of a square, and the columns 48 are thereby made to have a cylindrical form. Also, the columns 48 are internally fitted with cruciform reinforcing members at the prescribed intervals along a vertical direction to firmly support the four steel frames. In addition, steel tubes 48 filled with concrete may be used, instead of the steel frames, and reinforced with a plurality of braces 48E and horizontal rods 48F. Then, the internal space of the columns 48 is used as an air supply duct for feeding the conditioned air from an air conditioner installed in a utility building to each clean room as well as a circulation duct for circulating the air. |
