PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidering machine capable of preventing an attached embroidery frame from dropping by preventing attaching errors when the attaching part of the embroidery frame is attached to a frame-receiving part which is driven for movement by a drive mechanism. SOLUTION: Protrusions 41 are formed on the attaching part 39 of the embroidery frame 4. When the embroidery frame 4 vertically inverted to assume an attitude opposite to its normal attitude is attached to a carriage 8, the protrusions 41 interfere with the carriage 8 to prevent its attaching; when the embroidery frame 4 assuming a vertically normal attitude is attached to the carriage 8, the protrusions 41 function as stopper parts, preventing an error in attaching the embroidery frame 4.
