PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member cutting device capable of cutting by using only one cutting device regardless of diameters, without the need to change the device. SOLUTION: The cutting device 10 for cutting members includes a body 14 for gripping by an operator; a cutting blade part 34 attached to the body 14 and closed for cutting members; an actuator 18 provided in the body 14 for closing the blades of the cutting blade part 34; a biasing member 30 for opening the closed blades of the cutting blade part 34; and an operating part 16 for actuating the actuator 18 when a member with a first cross-sectional size is cut by closing the blades of the cutting blade part 34 and for transmitting the operator's gripping force, in addition to actuating the actuator 18, to close the blades of the cutting blade part 34 when another member with a second cross-sectional size greater than the member with the first cross-sectional size is cut by closing the blades of the cutting blade part 34.
