PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic set by which Japanese character strings and messages are input by reduced operations of numerical key buttons. SOLUTION: This portable type electronic set is constituted such that ten figures 1 to 0 are assigned to the numerical key buttons of a mobile telephone. On the table which shows the corresponding relation of the numerical key buttons with the Japanese character syllabary, the consonants of each line of Japanese characters are assigned to the numerical key buttons 1 to 0 of column lines respectively and the vowels are assigned to the numerical key buttons 1 to 5 of row lines respectively as shown the figure; and in this set the desired Japanese Kana character 'SI' is input by pushing the numerical key button of the column corresponding to the line of the consonant desired to input (for example, '3') and next pushing the numerical key button of the row corresponding to the vowels of the Japanese characters (for example, '2') by one time.
