PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle remote control device and its method capable of accurately controlling remotely the movement of a vehicle by using a remote controller. SOLUTION: The vehicle remote control device is provided with a relative position detection means (steps S3, S9) for detecting the relative positions of the vehicle and the remote controller and a vehicle moving means (steps S13-S17) for moving the vehicle so that the relative positions detected by the relative position detection means have prescribed positional relation.
