DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRACING OBJECT AND ITS PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM WITH ITS PROGRAM RECORDED THEREON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and trace a carried-in object, a carried-out object and an object whose orientation or position is displaced from any change generated within input images in time series. SOLUTION: A time series image storing/reproducing means 2 stores/reproduces images inputted in time-series from a camera 1. A reference image generation means 3 generates a reference image 4 from the time-series images. An image change area detection means 5 detects an image change area from a difference between the reference image 4 and the time series images. An image change factor deciding means 6 decides whether or not the image change factor has been generated due to the carriage-in of an object, the carriage-out of the object or the displacement of the orientation or position of the object by using image characteristics. An object image extraction means 7 extracts the object image from the image change area. A trace start frame deciding means 8 decides an object trace start point of time.
