PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search documents described in a plurality of languages with few omissions. SOLUTION: For the registration of a document in a document database, a language specification about the document is accepted, document data are normalized in the language and another language (English), and an index is created. For a search of the document database, a language specification about a search request is accepted (Step S22), the search request is normalized in the language and another language (English) (Step S24), and the search is performed (Step S26).
