PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a failure in supplying a recording sheet to a drum from occurring and to more surely fix the recording sheet onto the drum, in an image recorder for recording an image on the recording sheet wound around the circumference of the drum. SOLUTION: The image recorder is provided with a drum having a plurality of through holes for sucking a recording sheet and having suction connecting grooves for connecting between the through holes, and the suction connecting grooves of the drum is positioned obliquely to the supply direction of the recording sheet. Or, the cross section of the side face of the suction connecting grooves, which comes into contact with the tip end of the recording sheet during the supply, is inclined. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
