PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance detection system for improving a detection precision of a distance in a simple constitution, and to provide an electric field forming device and an electric field forming method. SOLUTION: The distance detection system forms a quasi-electrostatic field so as to obtain prescribed intensity in each distance corresponding to each of a plurality of frequencies. Thus, since it forms the quasi-electrostatic field very clearly reflecting the distance on intensity so as to obtain the prescribed intensity in each distance corresponding to each of the plurality of the frequencies, the distance detection system can detect the distance based on the intensity at high precision without needing complicated control and a particular device, and can improve the detection precision of the distance in the simple constitution.
