<p>Connecting device has a fire protecting unit (11) arranged on one end to surround a connecting support (8) to form an elongation of the end which is connected to tubular support (7) of a sanitary body (2). An independent claim is also included for an arrangement comprising a sanitary body, especially a toilet or urinal, mounted on a building wall. Preferred Features: A widening (28) is formed on the end to form an annular chamber for the fire protecting unit. The connecting support is made into sections on one end.
