PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance determination precision for a detection object on a vehicular seat without increasing a burden for component management. SOLUTION: An electrostatic capacity sensor part 12 for detecting an electrostatic capacity characteristic on the vehicular seat 1 is constituted integrally with a seating sensor part 13 for detecting a load characteristic applied onto the vehicular seat 1, in one film sheet (sensor main body 11). This occupant detector of the present invention determines the detection object on the vehicular seat 1, based on the electrostatic capacity characteristic and the load characteristic.
