PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide AV equipment and a planar display unit for easily reinforcing bass and radiating the reinforced bass. SOLUTION: The display unit 10 is divided into a video part 26 having an internal space, and a voice part 27 equipped with a loudspeaker 17 and outputting a voice emitted from the loudspeaker 17 to the outside. The display unit 10 is equipped with a communicating means 30 for internally communicating the video part 26 with the voice part 27, and the internal space of the video part 26 is used as an acoustic capacity.
