<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP packet distribution device capable of distributing media data only to a specific user without causing delay and fluctuation. <P>SOLUTION: The IP packet distribution device is provided with a PHY 1 that receives a control packet for distribution setting, a PHY 6 for receiving a media packet, a TSW 3 into which the media data of the received media packet are written, a plurality of PHYs 9 for respectively transmitting the media data to low-order devices, a selector 8 for distributing the media data read out from the TSW 3 to the PHYs 9, and a processor 4 for setting the order of reading out the media data from the TSW 3 corresponding to the distribution setting.
