PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately cut off the gate part, which is integrally formed to a light guide plate molded member injection-molded using a wide film gate, from a light guide main body part. SOLUTION: This gate cutter 1 is constituted so as to cut off the film gate part 2a of the injection-molded light guide plate molded member 2 and flat parts 2b are formed on both sides of a film gate part. The gate cutter 1 comprises: placing parts 6 and 8 on which the light guide plate molded member is placed; the positioning pins 12 coming into contact with the flat parts on one end side of the light guide plate molded member; a press means 14 for pressing the light guide plate molded member in a positioning pin direction; and a cutting-off means 28 for cutting off the film gate part while moving along the boundary of the film gate part and the light guide plate molded member.
