PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for melting and extruding a resin material, with which the resin material is stably and continuously fed to the extruder and biting properties are smoothed and excellent discharge stability is obtained, for example, by using a small-diameter screw by especially focusing on that a heating zone is arranged in an area from the inlet of the raw material supply port of the extruder to a part right under the raw material supply port in melting and extruding a resin material. SOLUTION: In the melting extruder having a single-screw type extruder, a heating zone partially or wholly defining heating temperatures is arranged from the inlet of the raw material supply port of the extruder to a part right under the raw material supply port and the screw diameter (D) of the extruder is defined.
