PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring system capable of being connected to a transmitting device by wire, even without a spacial tool for accessing to the transmitting device installed in a tire inner space. SOLUTION: The tire air pressure monitoring system 10 comprises the transmitting device 20 having an air pressure measuring means, a memory means capable of memorizing distinguish information about a property of a tire, and a transmitting means radio-transmitting the distinguish information to the outside in connection with measured result information by the air pressure measuring means, and installed in the tire inner space 4; and a receiving device 11 receiving the measured result information and the distinguish information transmitted from the transmitting device 20. The transmitting device 20 is provided with a wire connecting terminal 22 exposed to the outside of the tire inner space 4 while assembling a tire 1 and a wheel 2, and enabling communication by wire connection between the tire inner space 4 and the outside.
