A voltage generation circuit is provided to output desired voltage accurately by stepping up a voltage with high accuracy. In a voltage generation circuit, one of two inputs of a differential amplifier(104) receives a reference voltage outputted from a reference voltage generation circuit and the other is connected to a comparison voltage detection node(VMON). The output of the differential amplifier is connected to one end of a boosting control circuit(101). The other end of the boosting control circuit is connected to one end of a boosting circuit(102), and the other end of the boosting circuit is connected to one end of a feedback resistive element(RL) and an output node(103). The other end of the feedback resistive element, a voltage setting circuit and a minimum voltage setting circuit(170) are connected to the comparison voltage detection node in parallel. The voltage setting circuit comprising a plurality of resistors sets a voltage of the output node step by step, by controlling a current flowing in the feedback resistive element by flowing a current in the resistor element connected to a selected gate transistor. The minimum voltage setting circuit sets the minimum voltage of the output node, by flowing a current in the resistor element connected to the selected gate transistor.
