PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized imaging optical system in which aberration is favorably compensated. SOLUTION: The imaging optical system comprises, in order from the object side, a first lens which has positive refracting power and has meniscus shape directing a convex face to an object side and a second lens which directs a concave face to an image face side.
