PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device capable of restricting a contact between parts provided around a window glass and a wiper, besides setting a sufficiently wide wiping angle in the beginning. SOLUTION: The wiper device 1 comprises a vehicular wiper 2 formed by connecting a wiper blade 11 to a tip of a wiper arm 12, a driving section 5 having a wiper motor 4 and a wiper driving mechanism 3, and an ECU 7 for controlling the driving section 5 so as to turn the wiper blade 11 at a predetermined wiping angle. The ECU 7 controls a reverse angle of the wiper motor 4 in response to the number of operation of the vehicular wiper 2 so as to offset enlargement of the wiping angle due to wear caused in the wiper driving mechanism 3.
