PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller hemming method by which the generation of springback on a flange is prevented, solid materials can successfully be bitten on the workpiece and further the generation of deviation on the flange can be prevented. SOLUTION: In the roller hemming method, the flange 13 is folded until it is brought into contact with the peripheral part 19 by erecting the flange 13 of an outer panel 17 so as to cross approximately orthogonally, superposing an inner panel 18 on the outer panel 17 and moving the working roller 14 along the flange 13. The roller hemming method has a first step where the flange 13 is folded until it is brought into contact with the peripheral part 19 and a second step where the working roller 14 is moved again along the flange 13.
