PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharging device and a liquid discharging method that can extend the life of a head for discharging liquid drops. SOLUTION: The liquid discharging device comprises a nozzle group with a plurality of nozzles for discharging liquid drops on a medium to form dots on the medium, arranged at the predetermined nozzle pitch in a direction which intersects a moving direction relative to the medium, and a controller which selects partial nozzles out of the plurality of nozzles, controls the discharge of liquid drops from the selected nozzles to form a dot row in the direction which intersects the moving direction relative to the medium, and forms the dot row while changing the selected partial nozzles.
