PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize paper used during cleaning of a fixing part, to reduce cost and to obtain high workability. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes: a plurality of paper supplying trays 41 storing paper for each type set beforehand; the fixing part 44 fixing a toner image on the paper on which the toner image is formed; and a control part executing cleaning of the fixing part by supplying paper from the paper supplying tray.
