Disclosed is a handwriting input apparatus, comprising: a touch screen displaying handwriting inputted by a touch; and a processor recognizing a text with respect to the handwriting to generate a skeleton of the handwriting, correct a style of the handwriting based on the generated skeleton, and apply a beautification effect to the corrected style of the handwriting to display the handwriting through the touch screen. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a handwriting input apparatus providing differentiated handwriting beautification data, which reflects an individual′s handwriting style.
