The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for providing a lane using obstacle detection, which can generate a lane where a car can drive based on a position of an obstacle when the lane is impossible to identify since the obstacle is present in a road, after detecting the lane of the road where the car drives. The lane providing apparatus comprises: a sensor module including an image sensor for obtaining image data on a road where a car drives; and a control module for providing a driving lane by combining information on a basic lane of the road extracted in the image data and at least one obstacle from a fixed obstacle and a moving obstacle included in the image data. The lane providing apparatus can be applied to other embodiments. |
