The present invention provides an apparatus to provide a navigation function using voice recognition and a method thereof, which compensates a route in accordance with an input voice command and re-searches for the route to a destination on the compensated route when receiving a voice command to compensate the route from a user while providing the road guide service, thus enabling the user to correct positional errors in accordance with a road guide service. According to the present invention, the apparatus to provide the navigation function comprises: a display unit displaying a current position on a map as a road guide service is performed; an audio input unit receiving a predetermined voice command from the user while providing the road guide service; and a control unit compensating the route in accordance with the input voice command, re-searching for the route to the predetermined destination on the compensated route, and providing the re-searched result. |
