A liquid crystal display device comprising: a liquid crystal element array having a plurality of liquid crystal display elements arranged in a matrix form; a plurality of scanning lines which are arranged in each row of the liquid crystal element array and supply a scanning signal to the plurality of liquid crystal display elements arranged in a corresponding row; a plurality of signal lines which are arranged in each column of the liquid crystal element array and supply an image signal to the plurality of liquid crystal display elements arranged in a corresponding column; a plurality of drive electrodes which are arranged in the column of the liquid crystal element array and to which a drive signal to detect a touch is supplied; a signal line drive circuit which is arranged along one side of the liquid crystal element array parallel to the row of the liquid crystal element array and forms the image signal; and a first electrode drive circuit which is arranged along the other side of the liquid crystal element array parallel to the row of the liquid crystal element array and forms the drive signal, wherein the drive signal is supplied from the first electrode drive circuit to the drive electrodes arranged in the column of the liquid crystal element array on the other side of the liquid crystal element array.
