PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that can accurately suppress a change in perception luminance and perception color due to a change in the direction of a visual line, while suppressing a reduction in contrast of a display image.SOLUTION: A display device of the present invention comprises: a light emitting part; a display panel that displays an image on a screen by transmitting light from the light emitting part at a transmittance according to image data; detection means that detects the direction of a user's visual line to the screen; and control means that controls color of light emission and luminance of light emission of the light emitting part on the basis of a detection direction that is the direction of the visual line detected by the detection means. The display panel has a characteristic in which perception luminance that is a luminance perceived by the user and perception color that is a color perceived by the user are changed according to a change in the direction of the user's visual line; the control means controls the color of light emission and luminance of color emission of the light emitting part so that changes in the perception luminance and perception color due to a change in the direction of the visual line are suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
