PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket examination machine capable of improving the convenience of a ticket, and a ticket dispenser.SOLUTION: An automatic ticket examination machine includes a radio communication unit, an optical reading unit, and a control unit. The radio communication unit reads information by performing radio communication with a ticket. The optical reading unit optically reads information from a display object which is displayed on the ticket and in which information including validity information showing the validity of the ticket is encoded. The control unit determines the effectivity of the validity information on the basis of the information read by the radio communication unit or the information read by the optical reading unit. When the information is not normally read by the radio communication unit, the control unit determines the effectivity of the validity information on the basis of the information read by the optical reading unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
