PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost without causing an increase of the number of part items and an increase of man-hours when adjusting a dimension variation of an output rod in an axial direction, in a negative pressure booster in which a rear end of the output rod is inserted into a recess of a front end of a valve cylinder with an elastic body interposed between the valve cylinder and itself, and a valve cylinder return spring is retractably arranged between a retainer abutting on a front end face of the valve cylinder and a front shell half-body.SOLUTION: An output rod 49 integrally has: a shaft part 49a; a piston abutment part 49b of the shaft part 49a at a front end; and a thickness adjusting part 49c which hangs out to the outside of a radial direction from a rear end of the shaft part 49a while being inserted into a penetration hole 52 of a front shell half body 9, and can adjust a thickness in an axial direction by processing. A retainer 50 can be inserted into a recess 46 of the thickness adjusting part 49c in an abutment state that the retainer 50 abuts on a front end face of the valve cylinder 22, is engaged with the thickness adjusting part 49c after the insertion, and prohibited in release from the front end of the valve cylinder 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
